The Lomo Instant Wide camera has just been launched at Lomography’s online shop and its gallery and other distributors.
The Lomo Instant Wide camera with a 90mm lens (in 35mm equivalent) and a film exposure size measuring 64mm x 99mm is now available in Lomography’s online shop and Lomography Gallery & embassy stores.
It can also be ordered at other partner stores. Lomography, which originated with the use of cheap Russian cameras by art students in the early nineties, has developed across the world in the last two decades. Using film which can undergo significant colour shifts, the results from Lomo cameras are unpredictable and sometimes quite stunning.
The Lomo’Instant Wide has Auto, Bulb and Fixed Shutter Speed shooting modes, a built-in 90mm lens (35mm Equivalent), a fully programmatic shutter, a lens cap which also functions as a shutter release remote control, and it will shoot unlimited long & multiple exposures.
It uses Fujifilm Instax Wide film, and offers apertures of f/8 and f/22. Its shutter speed ranges from 8 seconds to 1/250s, with a Bulb option available. It runs on four AA batteries. The Lomographic Society International is a globally active organisation dedicated to experimental and creative snapshot photography.
