The Landscape Awards People's Choice winner announced
The people have voted, with Kate Hanton's striking image Mountain Aura receiving the most votes in the People's Choice vote of The Landscape Awards presented by Eizo.

Captured near Boorhaman in Northeast Victoria, Hanton says the image was one of those right place, right time shots.
Having left home with a different image in mind, fortuitously, the fog was so thick she couldn’t get the shot she'd planned.
"I decided to drive on to this location," she recalls. "It was a couple of hours after sunrise when the light finally started to penetrate through the murkiness. I entered it because its one of my personal favourites and it’s printed in large format in my home. I’ve been back to this location a few times and there’s now no water in the swamp."

Hanton's image scored a whopping 459 likes at competition close, narrowly beating Dani Watson's image The brain, which came in with 420 likes.
As People's Choice winner, Hanton takes home $500 and a one-year print subscription to AP or Capture magazine.
