Submissions for 2020 Head On Photo Festival open
Sydney's Head On Photo Festival has opened applications for the 2020 edition of the festival.
Head On, which will celebrate its eleventh year next year, provides an opportunity for photographers at any stage of their careers to showcase their work to a huge audience.
The festival is seeking work across still photography, multi-media and video art and welcome applications from individual artists, curators, groups and exhibition spaces/galleries; work can be recent or not. Stills photographers are required to submit 10 images from one body of work for consideration. For multi-media and video projects a single frame is required plus a link to the full production.
Proposals submitted through the submission process are judged without the artists’ names or pedigrees, so they stand on their merit alone.
After the selection panel reviews the submissions, Head On will invite successful applicants to exhibit during Head On Photo Festival 2020 as either Associated or Featured or Head On Curated exhibitors.
Submissions are open from 1-25 August 2019. The 2020 festival will take place in Sydney 1-17 May and will include outstanding international and Australian artists both emerging and well known.
