Sony is running a photo competition with a difference, asking Australian photographers to submit their worst photos for the chance to win a Sony Cyber-shot HX50v and the 'accolade' of Australia's worst photo.
The 'No More Bad Photos' competition encourages people to upload their worst photos in one or more of seven categories: The Darkness (instead of low-light, you get no light); Eyes Wide Shut (for those who blinked and missed it); The Monet (for when poor focus has made the memory a blur); The Craparazzi (the celebrity snap that failed); The Haunted (red-eye shots that made people shiver); The Long, Long Distance (for the zoom that couldn’t go the distance); The Weird and Wide (for the patchwork panorama that didn’t pan out).
Sony is giving away a HX50V every day for the duration of the competition. Find out more about it at Sony's Facebook page.

Whoops, the camera has exposed for the bright background leaving this couple shrouded in darkness. A potential winner in 'Sony's No More Bad Photos' comp?
An interesting composition choice putting the subject's head near the bottom of the frame. Oh and her eyes are closed. Nice!
