"It's often a fine line between what makes an image a "landscape" or a "travel" photograph. For me, an image is a "travel" photograph when there is a clear sense of a story or time," commented Edmonds.

"Dilan has not only achieved this well here but has also worked around the Kombi-cliche to make for a photo that in so many ways is emblematic of a sense of adventure and escape. Who doesn't want to be hitting the road on a Friday night with snow-capped mountains on the horizon? The complimentary colour-palette and very small amount of camera shake also do wonders to make this both a dynamic and alluring image. Very well done."

Over on Facebook, Dilan Muslu was also chosen as this month's People's Choice winner! On the Road received 200 likes! As People's Choice winner, Dilan has won a 12-month digital subscription to either Australian Photography or Capture magazine.

Shedding some light on the travel story behind capturing the winning image, Dilan shared, "After the flooding on a bridge New Zealand, when we lost hope to continue our trip that was already very short for such a beautiful place, the authorities announced that the bridge was now open. As we continued towards our destination to Mount Cook, this red van showed us the way."

As winner, Dilan will take home an amazing ProArt PA247CV monitor, valued at $399 thanks to our amazing sponsors ASUS.

Our guest judge Sam has also given a special mention to the following three entries:
