Photography series on Netflix

A new documentary series about Australian photographers and the art of photography has been released on Netflix.

Tales by Light is a six-part series with each episode following a photographer in search of amazing images, often in remote and rarely photographed parts of the world. All episodes are shot in 4K and will be available from 11 November 2016.

The first episode, Submerged, features Australian underwater photographer and Darren Jew as he captures a "Humpback Whale 'mating chase' in Tonga" and the 70-year-old wreck of a Mitsubishi aircraft and a live volcano in Papua New Guinea.

Other photographers featured in the series include Art Wolfe, Krystle Wright, Richard I'Anson and Peter Eastway.

The series is funded by Canon Australia and is directed by award-winning Australian filmmaker Abraham Joffe.
