Perth’s largest photography expo, Camera Electronic’s PhotoLive, is scheduled to return as a large-scale in-person event this Sunday, August 1.

Unlike the cities along the Eastern Coast, Perth is not struggling with a Covid-19 outbreak at present, and so the city’s residents are free to attend large-scale in-person events.

This weekend’s PhotoLive Expo will be one of the first major Australian photography events to take place in physical form since Covid-19 made its way to Australian shores.

The one-day program is filled with workshops, speaker sessions and a trade show, where each of Camera Electronic’s 20 brand sponsors will be in attendance to show off their gear.

At the trade show, attendees will be able to try and purchase the latest camera equipment, with brand representatives on site to answer questions and facilitate demonstrations of the gear on display.

At the 40-minute speaker sessions, attendees will be able to hear valuable insights from renowned Australian photographers includinng Alex Cearns, Shelley Pearson, James Simmons, Hugh Brown, and Mark Brierley.

In addition to the speaker presentations, there will also be a number of two-hour workshops running on the day, covering topics such as post-processing with Lightroom and candid portraiture, among others.

The Expo will take place this weekend at ECU Mount Lawley Building 3. You can purchase discounted pre-sale tickets to speaker sessions and workshops in advance, or you can simply show up and pay full price on the day.
