Microdia has added a 256GB SDXC flash memory card to its XTRA PRO series of memory cards. The new card offers read/write speeds up to 90MB per second, is water and dust proof and has been certified for operation in temperatures from -25 to 85ºC.
"Currently, 256GB SDXC cards have very limited availability in the market and the cost to the consumer is extortionately high,” said Louis Leung, CEO and Founder of Microdia Ltd. "However, the new XTRA PRO 256GB SDXC from Microdia combines UHS technology and components with affordability."
SDXC is the latest evolution of SD and SDHC and offers extended capacity (up to 2TB) and faster read/write speeds.
Pricing had not been announced at time of writing.
