Black Eye Gallery in Sydney's Darlinghurst is showing a series of images by Mclean Stephenson to coincide with the release of his photo book Extracts.
Extracts explores the last six years of the Sydney based photographer's work, a period which has seen him experiment with a variety of film formats, taking a more hands-on approach to processing and producing prints.
"Stephenson invites his viewers to see the disturbances and physical transformations that take place in the creation of the images," said a spokesperson for the Black Eye Gallery. "[Through] the scratches, the cuts, the faces blurred in movement, Mclean Stephenson makes his presence known."
The exhibition is at the Black Eye Gallery at 3/138 Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst NSW, until 16 August 2015.
