Celebrated UK Magnum photographer Martin Parr is bringing his Life's a Beach exhibition to Bondi Beach.
The exhibition of seaside photographs, taken by Parr over four decades in countries including Argentina, Brazil, China, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Japan, the US, Mexico, Thailand, and of course, the U.K, candidly captures beach life, highlighting cultural similarities and differences the world over.
Complementing the exhibition will be a beach-themed Pecha Kucha event, a series of beach photography workshops for adults and a school excursion program, including curatorial tours and beach photo workshops.
Life's a Beach is organised by Aperture Foundation, New York, and is presented by the Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) in partnership with Waverley Council at the iconic Bondi Pavilion Gallery.
The exhibition will be showing from 31 January to 27 March 2016 and opens from 10am to 5pm every day. Entry is free. More details here.
Also, ACP is looking for volunteers to help supervise the exhibition. If you would like to be involved with Life's a Beach, while gaining valuable exhibition experience, email the ACP here.
