Sharing his thoughts on Julies's winning entry, Mike said, "This is a fantastic image because it brings something new to long exposure images of waterfalls – something that’s pretty difficult to do."

"You’ve done a great job of visualising the result you wanted before you took the image. The placement of the couple and the flow of the water that leads towards them makes for a visually balanced frame, but you’ve also done well to choose a shutter speed that retains texture and doesn’t just turn the water to milk."

"But what sets the image apart is the intrigue you’ve created – initially at least I didn’t know exactly what it is I was looking at – are the couple summoning the water, or just observers of nature? This sense of mystery creates interest, and when you that combine that with your great technical skills, makes for a winning shot."

As winner, Julie will take home an awesome $150 print and framing voucher from Created For Life, thanks to our wonderful sponsor Created For Life Australia.

Over on Facebook, Glen Sinclair's entry Lavender Lines has won him the title of People's Choice Winner.  As his prize, he has won a 12-month digital subscription to either Australian Photography or Capture.
