Manfrotto has added two new 050-series tripod heads to its range. The 054 and 057 ball heads are made entirely of heavy-duty magnesium, with a self-lubricating ring system allowing for smooth movement and more accurate camera positioning.
The heads can be tilted up to 90° for vertical portraits, while new ergonomic levers make it easier to quickly change the height and orientation of the camera.
The 054 head is able to hold a maximum weight of 10kg while the 057 can hold up to 15kg.
Both units will be available as direct screw mounts to camera. Additionally, the 054 has variants with Q2 and Q5 plates and the 057 has variants with Q5 and RC4 plates.
The 054 head with Q2 plate is available now with a retail price of $350. The remaining variants are due to arrive in Australia at the end of June.
