Kata has released an innovative new camera backpack.
Kata has released what it calls “a revolutionary backpack for professional photographers”. The Revolver-8 PL is designed to provide easy one-point access to a large range of lenses stored in a revolving internal magazine.
Kata says the unusual design option was awarded the 2012 Red Dot Design Award. A user’s main DSLR is stored in top easily accessed compartment, while all other lenses and accessories are stored in revolver-style magazine, accessed from one point on the side by turning the insert to reach the required lens or accessory.
The bag holds a DSLR with a grip and a standard lens attached as well as up to four extra lenses (70-200mm, 16-35mm, 50mm, 100mm macro), and laptops sized up to 15.4in. You can also store personal gear in the external top pockets.The recommended retail price is $295.00.
