Sharing his thoughts on Ann's winning entry, Darran said, "Speed brings to mind action, something fast moving, or perhaps the camera is fast moving?"

"I selected the winning image based on the theme and the perception of speed. This is a well thought out image with excellent technique and timing. It has been well processed and cropped to visually look interesting and eye catching."

As winner, Ann will take home a 12-month print subscription to either Australian Photography or Capture.

Over on Facebook, Iokanath Muda has won the title of People's Choice Winner with the entry titled Kambala.

As People's Choice winner, Iokanath walks away with a 12-month digital subscription to his choice of either Australian Photography or Capture.
