June free monthly competition: the results!
Congratulations to Julie Pallant who has won our June ‘Shadows' photo competition for her stunning image titled Fork play during Covid lockdown, as judged by our guest judge, photographer Darran Leal.
"Shadows is a great theme and one that challenges the photographer. Many entries offered silhouettes, which unfortunately are not shadows!
However, as always, tough decisions needed to be made because there were so many great entries, and several photos were within whiskers of one another. In the end, I picked Julie's image as the winner because of the drama created by using such simple items for a dramatic visual result. The processing is also excellent because it reinforces the shadows."
As winner, Julie will take home an amazing ASUS ZenScreen GO MB16AHP Portable Monitor valued at $649 thanks to our great sponsors ASUS.
Over on Facebook, Renee Johnstone, has convincingly won our People Choice award with her image Stargazer, which received more than 200 likes! Renee will take home the award of a 12-month digital subscription to either Australian Photography or Capture magazine.
