The brainchild of South Australia's Centre for Creative Photography, the new competition is open to all high school students Australia wide, and aims to help inspire students to use their originality and creativity to express themselves through Photography.

"We invite young and emerging photographers and support them in exhibiting for the first time and having their work published in a commemorative book, collecting the work of one of the most visually literate generations of young people in Australian history," says the competition's entry page.

The competition has an open theme, with 'creativity and originality' highly encouraged. Top entrants will also be included in the competition's yearly commemorative book.

It will be judged by a number of well-known photographers in the industry, including Mark Zed, Matt Palmer, Forough Yavari, Gee Greenslade, Samuel Graves, Racheal Norris, Paul Atkins and Gavin Blake.

Closing date for entries is 31 December 2022. Entries are $5 per image and you can find out more here.
