Fujifilm GFX Challenge Grant returns for sixth year in Australia and New Zealand
Fujifilm has announced the return of its annual GFX Challenge Grant Award Program, now in its sixth year, supporting photographers and content creators across Australia and New Zealand to develop new photography and video projects.
The program provides selected creators with funding, mentorship and access to Fujifilm equipment to help develop and produce their work.
This year’s program offers close to AUD$145,000 in total funding. Five global winners will each receive AUD$15,000 (USD$10,000), while 10 regional winners will receive more than AUD$7,000 (USD$5,000) each.
Alongside the grants, recipients will be given access to Fujifilm mentors and GFX camera systems, including lenses, to support production of their projects. Completed works will be published on fujifilm-x.com.
Entries are open until 17 August 2026 via the Fujifilm House of Photography website. Applicants must be residents of Australia and New Zealand, and submissions are open to both amateur and professional photographers and videographers.
Program timeline (2026–2027)

- First round selection: 18 August – 6 September 2026
- Interviews: 15 – 29 September 2026
- Final selection: October 2026
- Recipients announced: January 2027
- Project completion deadline: 17 May 2027
Grant details
Global winners receive a GFX system kit, including a Fujifilm GFX ETERNA 55 and two GF lenses, mentorship support, and a US$10,000 grant (approx. AUD$15,000). Regional winners receive similar equipment and mentorship, plus a US$5,000 grant (approx. AUD$7,000).
