Foto Riesel is calling on budding photographers to take their talents to the streets as part of the City of Sydney’s Art and About Festival.

Foto Riesel’s Foto Rally will be held on Saturday September 24, and offers more than $4,000 in prizes to Sydney’s most creative shutterbugs.

“The rally aims to be simple, fun and accessible to anyone with an interest in photography,” said John Wallace, Managing Director, Foto Riesel. “Everyone can enter from children, adults, amateurs through to professionals. We just want people to get out on the streets, pick up a camera and take on the challenge.”

Entrants can walk, ride or pedal their way around the Sydney CBD, for as little as an hour or as long as a day to undertake a series of photographic tasks. Using any type of camera they choose, entrants attempt to complete a series of photographic challenges which are unknown to them until the event begins.

The Rally will begin at Foto Riesel’s Create Centre (360 Kent Street, Sydney) and start times will depend on the period selected when registering online.

After completing the set challenges, entrants upload their images to the online gallery via the Foto Riesel web page during the designated upload period (Sunday September 25 to Saturday October 1). Images will then be judged by a panel of industry experts.

Those interested must register online at www.fotoriesel.com.au before Thursday September 22. A fee of $10 applies to cover administration costs.

Registration numbers are limited so be sure to enter soon.
