Flashback is offering a six-month paid stay in Hong Kong for one lucky photographer

Fancy spending up to six months photographing Hong Kong with your expenses covered? Camera company Flashback is looking for a photographer or content creator to take on exactly that job.

The company, which makes digital cameras designed to recreate the experience of shooting with a disposable film camera, is offering one successful applicant the chance to relocate to Hong Kong and create photo and video content for the brand.

Flashback recently moved its operations to Hong Kong to be closer to its manufacturing base in Shenzhen, so the city will be central to the role. The successful applicant will document life in Hong Kong while producing content for the company.

Flashback's One35 V2 is a 13-megapixel digital camera designed to mimic a disposable film camera. It has no rear screen, an optical viewfinder, mechanical film-advance dial and Xenon flash. Shooters get 27 frames per "roll", with images then transferred to an app for digital developing.

There is no lengthy application process. Applicants simply need to submit a one-minute video introducing themselves and explaining why they want the job, along with examples of their work and a portfolio link if available.

Flashback describes the position as fully paid, although it hasn't revealed the salary or other financial details.

The campaign follows Icelandair's unusual photography competition earlier this year, which attracted more than 127,000 entries from 178 countries. The winner received a 10-day trip to Iceland and $50,000.
