February free monthly competition: the results!
Congratulations to Paul Dyke who has won our February ‘Colour’ photo competition with his striking image Port Melbourne Beacon, as judged by our guest judge, photographer Drew Hopper.
“The minimalist and well-balanced composition are very pleasing in this image and show that the photographer has thought about this image before composing. The blue tones and use of long exposure both complement each other to give the image a surreal and dreamlike feel. An overall great image showcasing the colour blue to win the colour contest.”
Thanks to the amazing team at Datacolour, our winner Paul Dyke will take home the prize of a Datacolour SpyderX monitor calibration system.
Over on Facebook, our people's choice winner, Roger Fance, has won in a landslide with his image Eastern Yellow Robin, which garnered over 400 likes. Roger will walk away with the award of a 12-month digital subscription to either Australian Photography or Capture magazine.
