Swiss company Elinchrom has launched the next generation of its Skyport wireless triggering system, the EL-Skyport Plus.

Elinchrom's wireless technology allows photographers to include hotshoe flash units in their lighting set-ups.

The EL-Skyport Plus system includes a newly designed transmitter with a swivelling head that Elinchrom says aids reception, while the new receiver features a hotshoe mount for triggering most makes of hotshoe flash.

When used in conjunction with a Skyport HS Plus Transmitter, most flash units set at full power can also be used in Hi-Sync applications. The unit uses AA batteries and works via 2.4Ghz radio communications. It has a range of 656ft/200m and offers 16 channels with four groups.

The EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus costs $89.99 (US) and the kit including transmitter and hotshoe receiver is $139.99 (US).
