Organised by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), the Canon AIPP Australia Professional Photographer of the Year attracted over 2,600 prints from 746 professional photographers from across the nation.
More than 50 of Australia’s finest photographers spent three days determining the winner and more than 150 volunteers made the highly involved judging process happen.
Melbourne-based photographer, Peter Coulson, was named Canon AIPP Australia Professional Photographer of the year and his images, as well as those from other category winners and finalists, feature in an exhibition which is currently touring the country.
