The Australian Photographic Society's (APS) annual photo book competition is now open now to all APS members, as well as any members of any Australian camera club.

Entry for the photo book competition is free, and the books can be pre-existing or new work. That said, photo books that have been submitted to previous APS photo book competitions are not eligible for entry.

Entrants can enter up to one book in each of the competition’s two categories: Storytelling and Portfolio. Entries need to be submitted as hard copy printed books, with no exclusions on the publisher.

The first, second and third place winners will be awarded photo book vouchers by the competitions’ major sponsor Momento Pro. The prizepool for the vouchers is $1,400. In both categories, first place will receive a $350 voucher, second place will receive a $250 voucher and third place will receive an $100 voucher.

Additionally, the APS's Print Group will also award $500 in cash across the recipients of first, second and third place in both the Storytelling and the Portfolio categories. First place will receive $150, second place will receive $75 and third place will receive $25.

Winners will be announced September 2020.

Entries need to reach Brisbane by Friday 21 August. Postal and hand-delivered entries will be accepted. To find out more about where to send your entry, visit the website here.
