The annual competition is open to photographers from around the world, with the only prerequisite that images be captured in the natural world and taken in the ANZANG region: Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea.

Entries are now open until Friday 24 January 2020, and there's more than $20,000 of prize money on offer. The overall winner will receive $10,000 and a holiday prize.

There is no restriction on age or experience, and all photographs are judged anonymously on the merit of the individual image. The judges for the 2020 competition are Michael Aw - author, explorer and conservation photographer, Drew Hopper - travel, documentary and editorial photographer, and Georgina Steytler - nature photographer with a passion for birds, ethics & conservation.
