A new website has been launched to enable amateur photographers to sell their images.

A new website has been launched which aims to help amateur photographers around Australia showcase and sell their best printed work. The website, www.andarchie.com.au, was created to provide limited release printed photographs which tell a unique story. Each month the website showcases 10 new photos, which are picked by &Archie’s panel of expert judges from entries submitted by the photography community. Lawyer Steve Snow, along with marketing expert Steve Pask, launched the website in December.

“&Archie started from our genuine experience of being unable to find unique and beautiful canvas or fine-art prints online.” Steve Snow says. “We wanted something to make our house look beautiful, and while there are many websites which sell photos, finding the ‘good’ amongst the ‘not-so-good’ can be a time consuming and sense-numbing process.” Snow added “And we have so many friends who take beautiful photographs, but who had no way to sell them easily.”

Anyone can submit a photo to &Archie through the website. Snow and Pask have pulled together photography experts from around the country to help them judge the best images. Each month the judges select their favourite 10 shots from the submitted photographs, which are then made available as limited release printed works. Steve Pask says, “We wanted to support all those amazing amateur photographers who just don't get any air time, so we share the profits with the photographers from every print sold.”

The two businessmen say the prints from &Archie are of exceptional quality. “We want to provide people with interesting and truly unique artwork which tells a story on their wall.” Steve Snow says. “We wanted to source the best, so we also found the best printers. It’s important to us to know our customers are getting only the best.”

Images can be submitted at any time by visiting www.andarchie.com.au. Limited release prints cost from $169, and are available online now.
