The exhibition program for the 2011 Ballarat International Foto Biennale has been announced. The month-long festival of photography will showcase the work of 22 Australian and international photographers, and a further 70 artists who will exhibit as part of the Fringe program.

Among the photographers whose work will appear are John Gollings (Australia), Jan Saudek (Czech Republic), Duffy (UK), Sara Saudkova (Czech Republic), Judith Crispin (Germany/Australia), Heather Dinas (Australia), Sarah Louise Jackson (Australia), Lisa M Robinson (USA), Maleonn Ma (China), Jack Picone (Thailand/Australia), Maggie Diaz (Australia/USA), Les Horvat (Australia), Frances Mocnik (Australia), Osamu James Nakagawa (USA/Japan), Roger Donaldson (NZ/ Australia), Cynthia Karalla (USA), Istvan Horkay (Hungary), Bruce Postle (Australia) and Colin Page (Australia).

The Biennale, which will run from August 20 to September 18, is staged across venues in Ballarat and nearby areas.

As well as exhibitions, the event includes workshops for beginner and advanced photographers as well as a growing list of photographic events including a program for schools, portfolio reviews, camera market, photographic book show, fine print fundraiser auction and print swap, dedicated weekends for large format photographers, pinhole photographers, Lomographers, historical exhibitions, a photography prize, an exhibition by master photographic printers and more.
