$10,000 Australian Life Photography competition announces 2021 finalists
28 photographs have been selected as finalists to be featured in the annual Australian Life photography competition, with the first prize winner set to walk away with the grand sum of $10,000.
Now in its 18th year, the annual competition has been organised by the City of Sydney as part of their Art & About program that runs all year round.
Each year the finalists’ images are shown in an exhibition along the St James walkway at Hyde Park, Sydney, but due to the unfolding Covid-19 situation in NSW, it is likely that the exhibition will take place virtually this year.
The 28 images will be on show in the Australian Life online gallery alongside the stories behind their capture. The online gallery has been curated by photographer Sandy Edwards.
The winner will be announced on 16 September, 2021.
To see the full gallery of images and read all the stories that made them, you can visit the website here.
As a competition first, this year the competition is also offering a People’s Choice award, which will see a $5000 Olympus photography prize pack awarded to the winner.
