Viltrox joins L-Mount Alliance

The L-Mount Alliance has a new member, with Chinese lens manufacturer Viltrox becoming the group’s 10th partner.

It joins Leica, Sigma, Panasonic, Leitz, DJI, Astro Design, LK Samyang, Blackmagic Design, and Sirui in developing lenses for the system.

Leica, which created the L-Mount, describes it as a “future-proof, flexible, robust, and precise bayonet mount” built to meet demanding photographic needs.

Since its launch, the standard has grown steadily thanks to contributions from alliance partners. The system now supports more than 20 cameras and over 120 lenses, all compatible across brands without adapters or loss of functionality.

Viltrox CEO Dai Jinhui said the company hopes to expand the system’s reach with “high-quality, versatile, and accessible lenses,” aiming to inspire creators at every level.
