TTArtisan announces cut-price 40mm f/2 lens

TTArtisan has released the AF 40mm F2, a compact and affordable ‘normal’ prime lens for full-frame Sony E and Nikon Z cameras.

Despite its low price (just $299), it features an all-metal build, a clicking aperture ring, and a petal-shaped metal lens hood.

Inside are nine elements in six groups, including two high-index, one extra-low-dispersion, and one aspherical element. The lens has seven aperture blades, a minimum focus distance of 0.4m, and uses a stepping motor for autofocus. It accepts 52mm filters and weighs just 167g.

The AF 40mm F2 is available now on TTArtisan’s website and usual camera retailers.
