Tamron has announced its 11-20mm F2.8 Di III-A RXD ultra-wide angle zoom will be offered in Fujifilm's X-mount.

The 11-20mm lens has a full-frame equivalent zoom range of 16.5-30mm.

As with the existing Sony E-mount version, the lens uses Tamron's quiet RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor to power the AF drive.

At the 11mm ultra wide-angle end, the lens has an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.15m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4. On the exterior, a moisture-resistant construction and fluorine coating will provide extra protection when shooting outdoors.

Exact specs of the lens haven't been provided, however but it's likely to very closely match the E-Mount version, which is 73mm wide, 86mm long, and 335g. That lens also accepts a 67mm front-mounted filter.

No details have been given on pricing for the new optic, but it is expected to launch in Spring 2023.
