Tamron announce new 17-35mm f/2.8-4 for Canon and Nikon

Tamron has announced a new 17-35mm F2.8-4 Di OSD lens for Canon and Nikon.

 

Weighing in at just 460g, the full frame lens features 15 elements, including both low-dispersion and glass-molded aspherical elements. There's two types of coatings included, 'BBAR' and fluorine to helop reduce fingerprints and moisture. The Optimized Silent Drive motor should deliver excellent AF speed and drive noise reduction, and the lens is weather sealed 

The 17-35mm F2.8-4 Di OSD Nikon mount is due to launch on September 4th and will have an RRP of $999 inc, with the Canon mount to follow later.
