Samyang announce XP 10mm f/3.5: the world's widest rectilinear prime lens
Samyang has announced the XP 10mm f/3.5, the world’s widest rectilinear prime lens.
Designed for full-frame cameras and offering a 130° angle of view, the lens should be popular with architecture and landscape photographers.
Inside there's 18 elements in 11 groups, a minimum focusing distance of 26cm, and an ultra-multi-coating tech that reduces flare and ghosting.
Initially the new lens will only be available in Canon EF-mount, and will retail for $1,250 USD ($1,740 AUD). According to DPReview, a Nikon F-mount version should follow within “a few months” of the Canon version.
