Polaroid launches Thrasher collab camera in Australia
Polaroid has announced a collaboration with skateboarding magazine Thrasher, releasing a limited-edition camera and film set in Australia.
The Thrasher Polaroid Now Generation 3 camera and film will be available in-store and online from today, Wednesday 17 September 2025, at JB Hi-Fi.
Thrasher has documented skateboarding for more than four decades. The collaboration highlights the role of photography in skateboarding culture and its focus on shared experiences.
Tony Vitello, publisher and owner of Thrasher, said: “The skateboard community is experience based and shares that through imagery. There are sprinkles of Polaroid throughout Thrasher’s deep archives. These moments have guided generations and brought us together, not only capturing the chaos but capturing history.”

Each camera features a hydro-dipped design with Thrasher artwork, making every unit different.

The camera is rechargeable via USB-C and uses Polaroid i-Type film.
Polaroid Color i-Type Film – Thrasher Edition ($34.95)

Includes 11 frame designs created by artist Neckface, a longtime Thrasher collaborator.
