While retaining the familiar design trusted by photographers for decades, the new cases feature a redesigned construction and an updated HPX polymer that Pelican says improves impact resistance, stiffness and UV durability.

The refreshed range also gains smoother-rolling wheels with steel bearings, redesigned push-button latches, and optional accessories including zippered lid organisers and rechargeable LED case lighting for working in low-light environments.

The Protector Series continues to offer the rugged features it's known for, including watertight, dustproof and crush-resistant construction, along with an automatic pressure equalisation valve for air travel.

Pelican says the new Protector Series will begin rolling out through authorised dealers in the coming months. Pricing and local Australian availability are yet to be confirmed.
