Comments Comments

OM Digital, formerly Olympus, has announced a new macro lens for Micro Four Thirds, the OM System M.Zuiko 90mm F3.5 Macro IS PRO.

The build is made up of 18 elements arranged in 13 groups, seven aperture blades. and the lens features a stabilisation system that works together with both OM System and Olympus camera bodies to deliver up to seven stops of compensation via 5-axis sync IS.

According to OM Digital, the lens features “an acceleration sensor on the lens that precisely detects motion blur for correction of shift, which has a significant impact on macro shooting.”

The lens weighs a 453g and measures 136mm x 70mm. It has a minimum focus distance of 22.4cm and a working distance of around 8cm from the end of the lens.

Available in late February, the OM System 90mm f/3.5 macro IS PRO will set you back $2249.

You can see some (fantastic) images captured with the lens below, and find out more on the OM System website.
