NiSi announces new cinematic Allure Streak filter range

NiSi Filters Australia has just announced the launch of their new NiSi Allure Streak BLUE (2mm) filter range.

The new range has been designed with the creation of cinematic effects in mind, with NiSi claiming the new filters can create elongated lens flares and render a single light ray from a point light source. 

The new filter has etched lines on the surface, which are spaced 2mm apart across the lens. NiSi Australia has said that these lines on the lens have the effect of creating blue streaks from the light source, and when the filter is rotated, the orientation of the light ray can be altered to suit your composition. 

The Allure Streak BLUE (2mm) filter is available for purchase in 4 x 5.65” and 6.6 x 6.6” sizes to be used in matte boxes, as well as in an 82mm circular size for use in standard filter thread lenses. 

 

The NiSi Allure Streak BLUE filter range is currently available for preoder from the NiSi Australia site, with the filters expected to be shipped out by September 1 of this year.
