Nikon announces Nikkor Z 24mm F1.8 lens
Nikon has formally announced the Nikkor Z 24mm F1.8 lens, bringing the number of lenses for the full frame mirrorless system to seven.
The new wide angle prime employs extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements to minimise axial chromatic aberrations, while a Nano Crystal Coat suppresses ghost and flare. Like other Z lenses, the 24mm f1.8 also has a control ring to which various functions can be assigned.
There's also dust- and drip-resistance, with sealing for various parts including the movable parts of the lens barrel.
No local pricing has been confirmed, but the Nikkor Z 24mm F1.8 S is expected to ship in mid to late October and wil cost $1,000 USD ($1,470AUD). You can find out more at Nikon.
