Nikon announces $899 FX NIKKOR Z 24-105MM F/4-7.1 lens

Nikon has announced the NIKKOR Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1, a standard zoom lens compatible with full-frame/FX-format mirrorless cameras.

The lens covers a 24-105mm focal range, suitable for landscapes, portraits, and close-up shots.

It weighs in at 350 grams, and has minimum focus distances of 0.2 m at 24mm and 0.28 m at 105mm. It also offers a maximum reproduction ratio of 0.5×, allowing for detailed close-up photography, according to Nikon.

Additionally, the lens includes a stepping motor for fast and quiet autofocus, a control ring that can be assigned to focus, aperture, exposure compensation, or ISO, and dust- and drip-resistant construction.
