Nikon announces $499 Z DX 24mm F1.7 lens
Nikon has announced the Z DX 24mm F1.7, a compact prime lens for its APS-C format system.
Equivalent to 36mm on full-frame, the Z DX 24mm F1.7 is made up of nine elements in eight groups. It features an 18cm minimum focusing distance, it weighs 135g and has a 46mm filter thread.
The new lens uses a stepper motor to provide quiet operation for video, and Nikon claims the lens will also suppress focus breathing when shooting video.
The new lens will retail for $499. No availability has been confirmed, but in the states it will hit stores in June.
