Camera manufacturer Hasselblad celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, and to celebrate the Swedish company has released an 'Anniversary Edition' 907X.

The strictly limited edition kit includes a Hasselblad 907X camera body complete with CFV II 50C digital back, a control grip, an optical viewfinder and a matching XCD 30mm F3.5 lens. According to Hasselblad, just 800 kits will be made to keep on theme with the 80th anniversary.

Specs-wise there's nothing we haven't seen before except, in our humble opinion, one of the most beautiful cameras money can buy. That means you'll get the same 50MP medium format CMOS sensor, a 3.2" 2.36M dot tilting rear display, dual UHS-II SD card slots and wireless connectivity as on the original 907X.

At the same time, and in case you've missed it, Business Insider made a cool video recently about why Hasselblad cameras are so pricey, that's well worth a watch:

Speaking of price, the 907X Anniversary Edition Kit is available to pre-order at authorised Hasselblad retailers for $15,100 USD ($20,000 AUD). It comes with a special commemorative plate on the side of the camera and inside a special 80th-anniversary box.
