Fujifilm announces XF 30mm F2.8 MacroF2.8 lens
Alongside the release of the X-T5 last week, Fujifilm has also announced the XF30mmF2.8 R LM WR Macro lens, the company's third XF format macro lens.
The lens offers a 1:1 magnification and is capable of shooting as close as 1.2cm from a subject.
Internally, the lens consists of 11 elements in nine groups including three aspherical elements and two ED elements, with its design limiting chromatic aberration, spherical aberration and field curvature. It has a minimum focusing distance of 10cm and a minimum working distance (from the end of the lens) of just 1.2cm.
The lens also uses Fujifilm's Inner Focus system, in which a linear motor drives the focusing group of elements, to help deliver fast and highly accurate AF. The lens weighs 195g, measures 69.5mm in length, and uses a 43mm filter thread.
In addition, the lens barrel is weather-sealed in nine places, making it dust and weather resistant, and can be used in temperatures as low as -10℃.
The XF30mmF2.8 R LM WR Macro lens will retail for $1,129 and joins the XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro and the XF 80mm F2.8 R LM WR Macro in the Fujifilm x-mount lineup.
The lens will be available from this month. You can find out more from Fujifilm.
