Fujifilm has announced the X-A7, the Japanese-company's latest entry-level mirrorless camera.

Featuring a new 24MP sensor with 8.5 times more phase detection autofocus points than the previous model, the X-A5, the A7 also offers 4K/30p video recording.

The X-A7 features a fully articulated, 3.5" touch screen LCD - the primary means of interacting with the camera as the rear is realtively spartan - offering only Menu, Display, Trash and Play buttons.

There's also quick Face/Eye AF, which, when paired with the 'Portrait Enhancer' mode, enhances both the operability of taking self-portraits and the quality of portrait images. The camera also introduces a “Smart Menu” that facilitates intuitive touchscreen operation especially tailored for beginners.

The X-A7 will be available in October, 2019, for $1,049 AUD RRP. It will be available in 4 colours - silver, dark silver, mint green and camel (brown) as a hard-bundle kit only, including the FUJINON XC15-45mm lens. You can find out more at Fujifilm.
