EIZO has introduced the ColorEdge CG3200X, its first OLED monitor in the ColorEdge range, aimed at professional photographers, colourists and video post-production users.

The 31.5-inch 4K UHD display uses a QD-OLED panel and supports both HDR and SDR workflows. It offers a peak brightness of 1000 cd/m², a claimed 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and around 99 per cent DCI-P3 coverage.

One of the main challenges with OLED displays for colour-critical work is Automatic Brightness Limiting (ABL), where brightness can change depending on the amount of bright content on screen. EIZO has developed a new ABL control system for the CG3200X, with Highlight Dimming and Uniform Dimming modes.

There is also an ABL Safe View mode designed to allow users to assess HDR highlights within a smaller viewing area without triggering ABL. An indicator and on-screen warning show when ABL is active.

The monitor supports both PQ and HLG HDR standards, while users working in SDR can adjust the contrast ratio between 500:1 and 2000:1 to better match different mastering environments.

As with other ColorEdge displays, the CG3200X includes a built-in calibration sensor and works with EIZO's ColorNavigator 7 software. Calibration can be scheduled automatically, while ColorNavigator Network provides centralised monitor management.

Other features include an anti-glare, low-reflection coating, magnetic shading hood and OLED care functions designed to help manage the panel during extended use. EIZO has also included dedicated circuitry intended to reduce colour fringing around high-contrast text and fine details.

The CG3200X is aimed primarily at colour grading, video editing, VFX, broadcast, streaming and other professional content creation applications.

The ColorEdge CG3200X is due to go on pre-order from October 2026, with availability expected later in the year. Pricing will be available through EIZO authorised resellers.
