Comments Comments

Canon have announced three new inkjet printers: a new A3+ professional photo desktop printer – the PIXMA PRO-200, and two new home office all-in-one devices – PIXMA Home Office TR8660 and PIXMA Home Office TR7660.

According to the company, the PIXMA PRO-200 is designed to meet the needs of photographers, and is an update to the PIXMA PRO-100S.

It features a new eight colour dye ink system, along with a newly developed magenta and black ink that contribute to an expanded colour gamut for reds and blues, which should offer more faithful reproduction of blacks while also improving black densities.

The PIXMA PRO-200 can print 'high-grade' A3+ bordered colour prints in approximately 1 min 30 secs with improved media capabilities, including the ability to print on a range of photo paper surfaces and finishes up to 0.6mm thickness, as well as  in producing panorama size prints.

The printer is compatible with Canon’s Professional Print & Layout PC software which enables faithful reproduction of photos captured using EOS series cameras, and it features three connectivity methods – Wi-Fi, ethernet, and USB.

Finally the PIXMA Home Office TR8660 and PIXMA Home Office TR7660 can print, scan, copy and fax, and feature large LCD colour touch screen displays and simple to navigate interfaces.

The Canon PIXMA PRO-200 will be available from authorised local dealers from mid-November 2020. The Canon PIXMA Home Office TR8660 and PIXMA Home Office TR7660 printers will be available from authorised local dealers from September 2020. Pricing is yet to be set. You can find out more at Canon.
