7artisans' announces AF 24mm F1.8 lens for Sony E

Lens manufacturer 7artisans has announced the full-frame AF 24mm F1.8 lens for Sony E-mount.

The company describes the new glass as being a good fit for astrophotography, architecture, landscapes and portraiture.

Internally, the lens is made up of 14 elements in 11 groups, with two of these aspherical lenses. In addition, there are two high refractive elements and three ED elements. It has a minimum focusing distance of 0.32m, and weighs 424g.

An 11 blade aperture should help produce nice bokeh.

On the exterior, the lens takes a 62mm filter and has a clickless aperture ring. It also has a customisable function button and a USB-C port on the mount for software updates.

The lens ships with a lens cap, hood and a Type-C USB cable. 

The lens costs $329 USD ($510 AUD) and is available now.
