Hayley Kotzur, Exposed (Black and White 2017)

Exposed explores the body at its simplest form; no distractions, complications or judgement. Although, viewers are not accustomed to seeing people in this form. Audiences are quick to assume ideas when it comes to portraits and the body through learning and teachings, concluding many aspects of someone without knowing the whole story. It is through art that this is questioned; how we judge before knowing, how we assume before learning.
