Who won our 'shadows and silhouettes' monthly comp?
Huge congratulations to Ros Osborne, winner of the September 'Icons' competition with her entry 'Stairways'.
More than 800 images were entered in the monthly competition, with this month's guest judge pro photographer Drew Hopper choosing Ros's image as the overall winner:
It's obvious the photographer has observed the scene and analysed the core elements to work in monochrome. The choice of composition is simple yet powerful, with repeating patterns and strong tonal contrast creating a dynamic statement. The harsh lighting has given this image definition that really sets the mood and works beautifully with the contest theme. An overall standout vision and well deserved winning
This month's People's Choice winner, with more than 1,500 Facebook likes, was Dyego Rodrigues with his image 'Hills of Rio de Janeiro'.
Huge congratulations to Ros who has won herself a $150 Momento gift voucher as our overall winner and Dyego who has won a $100 momento voucher as our people's choice winner. The voucher will let both winners create a stylish coffee table book to match the quality of their photography.
