Video: Chris Burkard on how visiting Norway changed his career

Chris Burkard has made an impressive career out of photographing adventure in some of the most beautiful places on the planet.

As part of a series by filmmaker Vincent Urban titled "#LifeChangingPlaces," put together by Lufthansa, this first video follows Burkard as he explains how work as a surf photographer was leaving him increasingly unsatisfied with both his career direction and image making.

"It had become boring and I knew there was something missing....so I started looking in more remote places," Burkard says.

Some 2.8 million followers on Instagram, the rest is, as they say, history. 

It was the Lofoten islands, in Norway, where things started to make sense for Burkard, and the setting for this beautifully shot short film. Enjoy.
