These are the winning images from the Drone Photographer of the Year awards

An image by French photographer Florian Ledoux has won the title of drone photographer of the year at the annual Drone Photography Awards.

Florian Ledoux's winning image shows a polar bear jumping between ice flows in the cold waters of Nunavut, Northern Canada.

More than 4400 submissions were submitted from 101 countries, with photographers entering one of six categories, Abstract, Sport, Nature, Urban, Wildlife and People.

Closer to home, Victorian landscape photographer Mieke Boynton was highly commended in the nature category, with her image 'organic' and Sydney-born instagram sensation Gab Scanu was winner of the Nature category.
