Tamron is set to launch its first E-mount lens for Sony’s NEX-system cameras. The lightweight 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 Di III VC has an equivalent zoom range of 27-300mm and weighs 460g.
Key features include built-in vibration correction (VC) to keep camera shake to a minimum and a new AF motor which Tamron says has been optimised to suit contrast-detect autofocusing systems.
It will be available in silver and black with a recommended retail price of $849. It’s expected in Australia in mid-January.
